Tree seeks entrepreneur!

Tree seeks entrepreneur!

By relocating or compensating for nature, we don’t want any green to be lost at Kennispark. As an entrepreneur, you now have the unique opportunity – together with other entrepreneurs – to make this happen: by adopting your own tree! Would you like to join us?

A more sustainable and healthy Kennispark
Construction plans are rapidly becoming visible in more and more places at Kennispark. It’s important that we continue to take care of nature at Kennispark. It will help us to become the sustainable and healthy campus we want to be. Kennispark geeft Energie, Kennispark Twente and the municipality of Enschede have now launched an initiative to adopt trees together as a community. Students from schools in Twekkelerveld will plant the trees you have adopted on National Tree Day (17 March). Alderman June Nods will be present to give the official starting signal. The municipality of Enschede will also be replanting 9 lime trees in the week of National Tree Day 2021.

Adopting a tree is very simple:

  1. Choose a location for your tree
  2. Sign up at info@kpark2023.tech-transfer.nl
  3. Share your tree March 17 on social media!

Your tree makes a real difference
Creating a healthy and sustainable campus is also about quality of life. Trees play a very important role in this. Besides absorbing CO2, trees also have a cooling and water-saving function. And how cool would it be if we literally picked our lunch from the park or your place? This means that we all have to help now. In this way, we are building a Kennispark from which everyone will soon reap the benefits.

‘Green is our new gold!’

Stedenbouwkundig plan Kennispark

A visible contribution with an indelible impact
What we ask of you is a contribution. For 500 euros you adopt a tree at one of the three locations. This includes the two years of aftercare required. In this way, we as a community ensure a result that will benefit us for decades to come.

Adopt your tree on location or on your own property
We have now identified three locations where we want to plant 50 (or more) park, fruit and avenue trees. Want to adopt a tree on your own property? That is also possible! We will arrange this for you, so you don’t have to do anything once we receive your application.

Do you have any questions or would you like to contribute in another way? Please contact Mark de Lat at m.delat@eshuis.com or Alfred Stobbelaar at alfred@kpark2023.tech-transfer.nl.
